Cocor MediaChannel supports the French Film Festival

On 27th of November, Cinema Studio hosted for the very first the movie projection „Ashes and Blood”, directed by Fanny Ardant. Fanny Ardant is known to the Romanian audience as an actress, but started her carrer as a producer on the 13th edition of French Film Festival.
The event was atteneded by : The Minster of Culture- Theodor Paleologu, the French Ambassador Henri Paul and also famous public figures related to movie field.

Before the projection of the film, Ambassador Henri Paul opened the festival and explianed that the film is “an act of love to Romania.” Co-producer of the movie, Tudor Giurgiu mentioned about the producer’s  involvement to seek the best locations for filming.

The movie presents 3 stories of Frnech and Romanian roots and capture key moments in everyday life: wedding, funeral and also Romanian rituals and folklore. The movie’s distribution include famous actors such as: Olga Tudorache, Razvan Vasilescu while the shooting took place on the land of Transylvania.

The organizers of this event are : French Cultural Institute in collaboration with French Embassy in Bucharest and Transylvania Film. The event will run until December 3 when the festival ends with the film “Concert” signed by Radu Mihaileanu. Projections can be viewed in 3 cinemas in  Bucharest: Cinema Studio, Elvira Popescu Cinema and Cinema Europa.
