On April 19, the best performances were awarded at the 18th edition of UNITER Awards Gala. The event was broadcast live on TVR and on the Internet while the host of this Gala was Ion Caramitru. The Gala gathered most of the famous Romanian stage actors like: Mihai Constantin, Valeria Seciu, Alexandra Davidescu,Victor Hrebenciuc, Virginia Mirea.
The following categories were awarded: Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Set Design, Best Performance, Best Directing.UNITER has awarded Tatiana Iekel and Mircea Andreescu for a Lifetime Achievement; the same prize was also won by production designer Andrei Both and director Mircea Cornisteanu.
The award for “contribution to alive history of Romanian humor ” was granted to Toni Grecu, who proved humor while he mooded the audience.
The Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role went to Virginia Mirea Zoikai for her part in Zoika’s House and Best Actor in a Leading Role George Mihaita was won by George Mihaita for his role performed in the same play.
