Cocor MediaChannel continues its global development by expanding both available content and Romanian cultural access to a multinational audience, becoming a member of the International Urban www.urbanscreensassoc.org Screen Association.The event took place in New York, in the presence of Mr Glenn Harding, president of IUSA and Mr. Dan Barbulescu, CEO Cocor MediaChannel, during the opening of The Project Room exhibition www.theprojectroom.org. while cycle clips “HD Traffic designed by John F. Simon Jr. ran on Cocor’s media façade and were promoted by a video installation hosted by Chelsea Art Museum in New York.

IUSA brings together international cultural institutions while its purpose is to inform and support the expanding use of dynamic digital displays in public spaces. Urban screens represent not only an international platform for communication, but also an easy way of spreading content spots. Also, the network of urban screens provide the structure for trade and cultural media internationally.

Since 2009, Cocor supported Streaming Museum projects by broadcasting on media façade virtual exhibitions that can be viewed by accessing the following link:

Streaming Museum is a virtual museum that presents and disseminates real-time exhibitions on seven continents: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America. Streaming Museum is located in New York, near Times Square and works with both leading cultural institutions, but also with artists offering them the opportunity to create special exhibitions for this platform. The strength of this hybrid museum  is the interactivity, Streaming Museum also being an outstanding source of cultural content. Streaming Museum offers visitors on the website the opportunity to post photos, videos and their comments.

Cocor MediaChannel (www.cocormediachannel.ro) is the largest spectacular support in the Continental Europe and the only DOOH equipped with traffic counter from Bucharest Police Department.

Cocor MediaChannel was first launched on Romania’s National Day 1 st of December in 2008 http://www.cocorchannel.ro/en/articles/On_Romania_s_National_Day.html.  Half of the displaying airing time on Cocor is allocated to clients who rented commercial spaces in the store and the other half is dedicated to broadcasting traffic and financial news, cultural events, live TV transmissions, interactive campaigns using mobile access via WiFi, Bluetooth, SMS. Cocor MediaChannel remarks itself on the outdoor market throughout its own projects and interactive campaigns organized for traffic transiting the Center of Bucharest.

Cocor MediaChannel is actively involved in social and cultural life of Bucharest, by supporting various projects such as: Next Film Festival, Pasarela Festival, George Enescu International Festival, UNITER Awards Gala, Palm Sunday Fair held at Romanian Peasant’s Museum, Rokolectiv, Museums’ Night, European Union Day and public awareness campaigns like: Missing Children, Be aware of motorcyclists in traffic, International Day of Autism.
