THE DECONSTRUCTIVISM – THE NEW URBAN ARCHITECTURE TREND
Mediatecture, as part of Deconstructivism, is a trend for the development of postmodern architecture started at the end of the 1980s, recognized and promoted by UNESCO, but also by ISOCARP (International Society of City and Regional Planners).
This includes the concept of mediatectura addressed by Cocor Luxury Store, by mounting on the facade of the building, huge HD (High Definition) LED type screens. For the insertion study of the project, some theoretical research planning has been adopted and promoted globally. This way it wants to impose in Bucharest a new concept of architecture.
MEDIATECTURE – THE NEW CONCEPT OF RETAIL INDUSTRY
We wish to impose on the market, the concept of luxury department store, similar to Saks Fifth Avenue New York, Paris Louis Vuitton, Tods Tokyo or Seoul Galleria Department Store. Thus, the store Cocor turns into the vanguard of retail industry in the historical center of Bucharest, bringing the center of gravity of luxury brands, in the place where it should be in every European capital.
THE LUXURY OUTDOOR ADVERTISING
Cocor SA is launching a public renting offer for Cocor MediaChannel media area including 13 outdoor LED screens to be placed on the front of the downtown store. The building will host the biggest LED screens installation in Continental Europe and the second one after Piccadilly Circus in London comprising 565 sqm in 13 displays and is to be operational starting December 2008.
